Our team is a High school students team tasked to design and build a robot to play against other teams from the world in a game-based engineering challenge.

Designing Robots

Every year when new game is released by VEX, we start our team sessions and start designing, prototyping and building robots.

STEM Skills

We learn science, technology, engineering, and math skills by designing, building and testing our robot and by creating engineering notebooks.

Teamwork

We do a great team work and everyone contributes their best. Our teamwork skills helps to make robotics fun and competitive as well.

VEX Worlds

Tournaments are held year-round at the regional, state, and national levels; local champions go on to compete against the best in the world at VEX Worlds each April!

Why VEX Robotics?

VEX is an international robotics program. The VEX program is easy to pick up and very user-friendly, so it has attracted the attention of Barrie’s youth.

We believe that it is very important for youth to discover and develop a love for robotics and automation because of all the employment options it opens up. The advanced skills in STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) that can be learned in the robotics program is the way of the future.

Most importantly, we learn problem-solving skills that will help us in any career path we choose.

Whether they’re used for exploration, safety, manufacturing, or medical purposes, robots are undeniably becoming more common and popular amongst business owners and manufacturers.
